What to wear for a Night Desert Safari

While on a desert safari, you need to be comfortable, so you should wear light clothing made from linen or cotton.

Light colors do not absorb heat as much, which allows you to stay cool even at high temperatures.

Since your safari starts at 2.30 pm, it is still best to wear a long-sleeved top and long trousers so that your skin is not exposed.

If you’re wearing shorts, you’re bound to get sand in awkward places.

Flip flops or sandals work better than shoes because sand gets into closed shoes, making walking uncomfortable.

You will need curtains until the sun loses its sharpness before it disappears below the horizon.

Carry warm clothes with you, such as sweaters, cardigans, etc., to cope with the drop in temperature as the sun sets.

Nighttime temperatures in the desert can drop as low as 5 °C (41 °F) and the coldest time is usually between 3 and 5 am.
